About Us

EnergyLine produces automatic controls that acquire data, make operating decisions, and collaborate with other devices and control systems via existing and new communications standards. Our products are used primarily in electrical distribution systems, offering the intelligence needed for field devices to make decisions automatically.

Founded in 1982, EnergyLine began by developing a cost-effective hardware and software platform for data acquisition, control, and communications applications in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) market. In 1990, we extended our expertise to the electric utility market to provide intelligent automation on both sides of the meter. Our unique perspective provided valuable insights into distribution automation (DA) technologies. Because distribution automation can significantly improve utilities’ efficiency, we have focused our efforts in this area.

In 1999, EnergyLine was acquired by S&C Electric Company. S&C's products are known worldwide for their quality, dependability, and long-term value. With 90 years of experience in the electric power industry, and more than 300 patents for their cutting-edge designs and applications, S&C made an excellent match for our company.

EnergyLine's innovative solutions for capacitor and switch automation integrate hardware, software, and development tools to create controls that can operate independently or as part of an existing communications network. We offer a wide range of products, from a complete line of stand-alone or communicating capacitor controls, to user-friendly switch controls and the sophisticated IntelliTEAM^® Automatic Restoration System for automated switching requirements and complete feeder management from "inside" the feeder.
